It’s difficult to compete in the athletic games. Athletes can train their whole lives, yet never get to run on an professional track. Very few runners make it that far.
But we’re all running a race of some kind. Perhaps it’s a race toward money, career, status, or marriage. Perhaps we’re chasing happiness... or running from emptiness.
There’s only one path that leads to true life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). God designed us to run towards Him, which is why a race toward other goals is never satisfying.
Those who choose the way of life recognize that a relationship with Jesus is more important than possessions, power, and prestige. They walk in the freedom, peace, and joy that only Jesus gives.
